Product Manager

About MDsim

MDsim is a MedTech start-up based in Luxembourg advancing the field of in-silico medicine. Our main product, SPINEsim, is a Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) designed to transform spine health and improve the planning of surgical procedures. By combining advanced computer modeling and simulation (CM&S) with the power of data science and AI, we create digital twins of the spine to support clinical decisions. Our mission is simple yet ambitious: to bring proven technologies into healthcare and improve the quality of life of patients with spinal deformities worldwide.

Your Responsibilities

The Ideal Product Manager (PM) for SPINEsim needs to operate at two levels: as a Product Owner (PO) in the weeds of developments and specification and as a Strategist who can translate the strategic vision of the C-suite and the needs of clinicians and patients into product vision and roadmap. You will lead the development and lifecycle management of our spine care platform. You will connect our engineering team, software developers, regulatory specialists, and clinical stakeholders. Your mission is to ensure that our software platform provides actionable, safe, and intuitive clinical decision support to clinicians aiming at improving the lives of patients suffering from back pain.

Your key responsibilties are listed below:

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define the vision for SPINEsim, balancing innovative solution features with the rigorous requirements of a regulated medical environment.
  • Regulatory & Quality Compliance: Partner with Regulatory Affairs to ensure the product meets FDA (21 CFR 820) and EU MDR standards. Lead the documentation for SaMD “Design Controls.”
  • Clinical Validation: Work with spine surgeons and other clinicians to define and validate the clinical utility of model outputs.
  • User-Centric Design: Translate complex spinal pathology data into a streamlined UI/UX that fits into a high-pressure clinical workflow.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Manage the product backlog, prioritizing features based on clinical impact, technical feasibility, and commercial viability.
  • Sales & Marketing Synthesis: Act as the technical “subject matter expert” for the commercial team. You will translate SPINEsim’s capabilities into compelling clinical value propositions, creating the technical “source of truth” for marketing collateral, white papers, and sales playbooks.
  • Lead Generation Support: Support the Sales team by presenting SPINEsim at major clinical congresses (e.g., NASS, EuroSpine) and during high-stakes demonstrations with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and hospital procurement committees.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Maintain a “Battle Card” of the competitive landscape, ensuring the Sales team can articulately differentiate SPINEsim’s accuracy, workflow integration, and clinical outcomes against existing or emerging spine-tech competitors.
