The session brought together leading spine experts for a highly insightful, case-driven discussion. We would like to sincerely thank Richard Assaker and Bassel George Diebo, MD for their contribution and for delivering a session that was both clinically rigorous and open.
Engagement
The session saw strong participation:
- 130+ registrations
- 60+ live attendees
- 95% of participants rated the session as valuable
This reflects a clear signal that there is real demand for deeper, case-based dialogue in spine care.
Key clinical insights
Several key points were discussed:
- Even small variations in segmental alignment can significantly impact adjacent segment disease and long-term construct performance.
- Surgical planning should extend beyond anatomy to include biomechanics such as load sharing and compensatory behaviour.
- Many complications are not random, but potentially predictable with more advanced modelling.
Following the discussion, there is a growing recognition that data-driven, patient-specific simulation may play a role in supporting clinical decision-making. This is not positioned as a replacement for clinical judgement, but as a decision-support layer.
