About MDsim
MDsim is developing SPINEsim, a patient-specific biomechanical digital twin platform designed to support spine health assessment, surgical planning, and evidence-based decision-making. By combining medical imaging, computational biomechanics, simulation, and AI, MDsim aims to help surgeons better understand each patient’s spine and improve clinical outcomes.
We are looking for a Clinical Specialist to join our clinical applications team and play a key role at the interface between surgeons, users, product, R&D, regulatory evidence generation, and commercial activities.
Your Responsibilities
User Training and Clinical Education
Train surgeons, clinical teams, engineers, researchers, and other users on the use of SPINEsim, including case preparation, image review, spine alignment assessment, surgical planning workflows, biomechanical interpretation, and report generation.
Prepare and deliver onboarding sessions, user workshops, webinars, clinical demonstrations, and educational material.
Customer Support and User Success
Provide high-quality support to surgeons and users before, during, and after their use of SPINEsim.
Troubleshoot user questions, clarify workflows, document issues, follow up on open actions, and ensure that users receive timely and professional support.
Act as a trusted clinical and technical point of contact for customers and partners.
Clinical Planning Services
Perform clinical planning services using SPINEsim on behalf of surgeons, including case preparation, data review, image-based analysis, alignment assessment, surgical planning support, biomechanical evaluation, and preparation of planning reports.
Ensure that all planning work is performed with a high level of precision, consistency, traceability, and compliance with MDsim procedures.
B2B Service Projects
Contribute to B2B service projects with medical device companies, research institutions, hospitals, and strategic partners.
Support project execution, technical analysis, reporting, customer communication, and delivery of clinical or biomechanical insights based on SPINEsim capabilities.
Clinical Studies and Evidence Generation
Support retrospective and prospective clinical studies designed to generate evidence for regulatory clearance, clinical credibility, and commercial adoption.
Contribute to case processing, data preparation, study workflows, analysis, documentation, and interaction with clinical sites.
Work closely with regulatory, quality, R&D, and clinical leadership to ensure that study-related work is performed accurately and consistently.
Conferences, Events, and Scientific Communication
Represent MDsim and SPINEsim at conferences, congresses, workshops, surgeon meetings, and customer events.
Present the solution, demonstrate clinical use cases, explain technical and biomechanical concepts, and support discussions with surgeons, researchers, investors, and commercial partners.
Marketing and Content Support
Provide clinical and technical input for marketing content, including case studies, user stories, presentations, webinars, white papers, website content, brochures, and social media material.
Help translate complex biomechanical and technical concepts into clear, credible, and clinically relevant messages.
Product Feedback and Continuous Improvement
Act as a key voice of the user inside MDsim. Collect, structure, and communicate feedback from surgeons, users, and partners to the Product Owner, Product Manager, R&D, and software teams.
Identify opportunities to improve usability, workflow efficiency, clinical relevance, reporting, training material, and overall user experience.
Your Profile
- MS or PhD in Biomechanics.
- Clinically curious: able to understand surgeon needs, clinical workflows, and patient-specific decision-making.
- Technically strong: comfortable with imaging, biomechanics, simulation, software workflows, and data
- Precise and accurate: capable of working carefully with clinical data, planning outputs, and technical
- Reliable: able to follow through on actions, document work properly, and meet
- Clear communicator: able to explain complex concepts to surgeons, engineers, customers, and non-technical
- Customer-oriented: professional, responsive, andsolution-focused.
- Easy to work with: collaborative, humble, structured, and positive in cross-functional
- Organized: able to manage multiple cases, users, projects, and deadlines in parallel.
- Comfortable presenting: able to represent MDsim at conferences, customer meetings, webinars, and training sessions.
